QB9’s “Krakatoa” is a Finalist at the MIPJr International Pitch

QB9 presented two new original productions at MIPCOM and MIPJR:“ “Krakatoa” and “Rejected”.

Marcelo Liberini, CEO of QB9, participated in “The Digital Strategists Show & Tell” conference where he presented several “Gaturro” success stories, including the multi-screen strategy that was used. He also announced the launch of two new series: “Krakatoa”, a co-production with Nuts Studios, and “Rejected”, a co-production with Hook Up Animation Studio.

“The addition of the two new productions, “Krakatoa” and “Rejected”, is a very important step in the growth and consolidation of QB9 Entertainment both in the local market and abroad.

This shows our commitment not only to providing television programming for kids and tweens but also to enriching the 360º experience and to strengthening our relationship with our audience through communication points that complement the series, such as events, games, trivia, apps and much more” Liberini explained.

The original animated audiovisual project, “Krakatoa”, was chosen as a finalist  in the MIPJR International Pitch 2014 contest from among more than 150 projects from 29 countries.  The awards presentation will be held on October 12th of this year in Cannes as part of the MIPJR international fair.

Mundo Gaturro celebrated Halloween at the Abasto Shopping Center with its followers and with costumes, gifts and surprises.

The surprise-filled Halloween celebration was held at the Abasto Shopping Center’s arcade Neverland: the event gave kids the chance to enjoy an afternoon where costumes, games and surprises were the main attraction.

On the night before Halloween, also known as the “Noche de Brujas”, Gaturro entertained his guests with sizable discounts on “Neverland” arcade games at the Abasto Shopping Center.

The kids were also able to take pictures with Gaturro and his creator Nik, who drew several Halloween-themed drawings to raffle off to his fans.

During the event, the “Mundo Gaturro Halloween” sticker album was also presented, so that the kids could continue celebrating the spooky holiday with fun images of all of Nik’s characters.

Superbaggiurros, the Mundo Gaturro and Baggio advertising campaign which was launched during the Back to School period, was the winner of the “Best Advertising Campaign” award granted by Sudlicensing in its first edition in Argentina.

The first edition of the Sudlicensing awards presentation was held on Tuesday, September 23 at the Salguero Plaza to honor and recognize the work of all the people who were part of the licensing world in Argentina in 2014.


A jury comprised of agency representatives and the country’s most important licensees, selected “Superbaggiurros” as the “Best Advertising Campaign” from a shortlist that included PepsiCo’s “Despicable Me” and Musimundo’s “Angry Birds”.

The Mundo Gaturro and Baggio advertising campaign, which was launched during the Back to School period, allowed kids to access a password they could use to enter Mundo Gaturro, trade their characters’ super powers and superhero costumes, and participate in a drawing for spectacular awards.
